This is what happens when you accidentally put fresh mushrooms in the freezer then thaw them out.  I didn’t mean to freeze them, but that was the kind of day I was having yesterday.  After a normal day at work, the kind of day where you’re pulled in what feels like a million different directions and everyone wants something, like I said normal.  I stopped at the grocery store on the way home.  After I walked out of the store, I realized my gloves were no longer in my coat pocket.  I emptied my groceries into the car and took my cart back to the building.  I walked around past the cashier and over to the service desk.  I asked if anyone had turned in any gloves, she answered no.  Bummer.  So I went back to my car and drove home.  I put my groceries away and then I noticed that I was missing a whole bag of stuff.  I checked my car, not there, so I jumped in the car and drove back to the store.  I had to go back to the service desk, I’m sure the manager thought I was losing my mind, but she had my bag of groceries.  Maybe I was losing it, because I had left the bag in the cart, the same cart that I pushed all the way back into the store, and still I didn’t notice it.  I drive back home happy to have my missing food.  Later when I started cooking, I open the freezer, and there are the fresh mushrooms I had purchased now frozen.  I put them in the refrigerator to thaw. Today I pulled out this disgusting package of black mushy mushrooms. Icky.  I didn’t dare turn on the computer last night, instead I wrapped myself in a blanket on the couch and watched Snoop & Martha’s Potluck Dinner Party (if you haven’t seen the show, you should, it’s hilarious and they cook some really yummy looking food)
