After the salmon grilling we may have looked like we were well on our way to eating healthier, it is a super food after all. I will have to look up the numbers for that meal. I might be killing all of the healthy with the two tablespoons of butter, more on that another time.
We love the grilled salmon, but we don’t have time for that every day. That is one of our big problems in regards to eating healthy food, time. Dave and I both work (too much) and tend to be pretty busy, maybe too busy, but that’s the way it is. I think a lot of people have the same issue, and I actually believe that it’s why we eat so much fast food. Even Dave doesn’t eat at McDonalds because he loves it, he eats there because it’s convenient and fast. There are days when I get out of work late and I am starving. The last thing I want to do then is come home and cook, I don’t have the patience for it at that point. So I end up at the drive thru at Taco Bell, or I come home and heat up a frozen dinner or pizza. Since we are trying to eat a little healthier, this is definitely an issue to address. However the need for speed is not going to go completely away, so I think I need to answer two questions. First, just how bad is the fast food? Second, if it’s terribly bad, what can we replace it with that is just as fast? As with everything else, I already know the second question will not be a “quick look-up”, but I’ll see what I can come up with.
