This afternoon I thought I would just quickly look up the nutritional values for the pot roast I make. I already know it has too much salt in it, because I use a beef broth and I copied down the information from the label. From various reading I also know that I should choose a lean piece of beef, and or trim the fat off before cooking it.
The Heart Association site recommends that you cook the day before so that you can skim the fat off the next day after it cools. To me that is left-overs and if I bother to cook it today it’s because I want to eat it today, not just have left-overs for tomorrow.
I do pretty well looking up the info. On the other ingredients until I get to potatoes. I look up potato and I get nine different answers. Arg, here we go again…
